PROJECT THABITI
Thabiti, a Swahili word that translates to resilience, is a project dedicated to mental health education and promotion in social settings where young people are most prevalent. The initiative utilizes universal prevention methods to enhance resilience and promote social and emotional learning. The youth in Tanzania face various socio-economic challenges, such as poverty, diseases, and violence, which, coupled with the inevitable biological changes, leave them vulnerable to mental health problems.
OUR IMPACT
We have reached over 350 young people since implementing the project in less than a year.
We have implemented the initiative in youth centers and secondary schools.
